'Boo, Forever' linocut print
Inspired by the Richard Brautigan poem of the same name, David Lowery's film 'A Ghost Story' (2017), Brian Eno's 'An Ending (Ascent)', existential unrest in turbulent times; a sense of watching and drifting and it all passing you by, the crushing weight of loneliness and of course the abject horror of a sheet ghost be it Michael Myers or Charlie Brown.
"It was one of those days when you can see the ghosts of all the other lovely days. You drink a bit and watch the ghosts of all the lovely days..."
Jean Rhys
A two layer multiblock print on Fabriano Tiepolo 290gsm heavyweight white paper, printed with Caligo oil-based ink. The paper measures approximately 56 x 76cm. A small signature and edition number is located at the bottom of the print. The edition run is eighty.
There are two colour versions, an ink blend from lilac to a deep blue or just dark blue. I'm not adverse to doing single colour variations of your choice if you're prepared to wait 2-3 weeks for me to make them (message me).
Each print may vary ever-so slightly as they are printed by hand. It's all part of the charm of linocut printmaking but see below for more details.
I'll be selling these in two tiers;
First tier - These will be the best prints from the run. There may still be small registration errors or tiny ink inconsistencies but that's part of the nature of linocut printmaking.
Second tier - These will have slightly more significant printing issues for example looser registration, tiny ink marks in the border or lighter ink coverage in sections BUT they will look good enough to frame and display and will still be part of the numbered series. The reason I do this is because I don't like unnecessary waste and often people tell me they like the aesthetic of a slightly wonky linocut print. If in doubt email me for specifics or photos.

'Boo, Forever
Spinning like a ghost
on the bottom of a
top,
I'm haunted by all
the space that I
will live without
you.'
