Folk Song February linocut prints

Welcome to Folk Song February where I [foolishly] attempt to create a linocut print every day for February 2024 using a list of largely traditional folk songs as creative prompts including; Tam Lin, The Great Silkie of Sule Skerry, Hares on the Mountain, The Scarecrow, The Derby Ram and lots more.

I had some help from creatives and folk freaks Yallery Brown, Kathleen Neeley, Johnny Greenteeth and Bower Street Morris to help come up with the song list which can be found on Instagram (@matpringle).

Like my BLOCTOBER project it's a work in progress so I'm not going to be photographing all of them but here are examples of how the prints will look. To see more images find me on Instagram and see what I've been working on. It's been really fun to work more spontaneously and without too much forethought or over-planning.

Just to confirm this purchase will be for just one of the prints of your choice. Dispatch time may be a little longer than usual as I'll be printing to order however most prints will be with UK customers within a week to ten days. These prints are the same size and portrait style of my BLOCTOBER prints so they'll sit happily alongside them with broadly similar folkloric and folk horror themes.

There is a THREE FOR TWENTY TWO QUID option too. Make sure you list the three prints you want in the order note.

Printed on Ho Sho Japanese paper with Caligo oil-based ink.

Each print may vary ever-so slightly as they are printed by hand. The nature of the project also means the linocut prints are a little bit looser than usual so expect a little bit of 'noise' (see pics).
Print size is 14cm x 19.5cm. Small initial on each print.
