The Wicker Man risograph print
£25.00 / Sold Out
'The Wicker Man' risograph print was created by using the scanned layers of artwork from my cursed linocut print of last year. Cursed because I set out to make thirty odd and ended up with less than ten. Clearly I'd made sacrifices of limited acceptability to the print gods so I decided to get some risograph prints made up with the help of the good folk at Well Projects (Margate).
The print draws on the imagery of Robin Hardy's folk horror masterpiece 'The Wicker Man' (1973) including the masked townsfolk, the flag of Summerisle, little Rowan the hare and the hand of glory.
It's a four colour risograph print measuring approximately 29.5cm x 42cm printed on Munken Lynx Smooth paper (240gsm) in an edition of fifty. A small signature and edition number can be found underneath each print.
Each print may vary slightly as the risograph printing process can be a little wonky but it all adds to the charm and aesthetic of the artwork.
